Can my adult child studying abroad stay on my golden visa renewal?

It is possible for dependent adult children included in the Golden Visa process to continue studying abroad. Considering that the Golden Visa only requires a minimum physical presence in Portugal of seven days during the first year and 14 days during each subsequent two-year period, this arrangement can be maintained.
However, it is essential to continue demonstrating the child’s dependency throughout the Golden Visa process.
In practical terms, the child must continue studying, and the main investor must continue providing financial support for the child’s education and related expenses. The relevant supporting documentation should therefore be maintained throughout the process so that dependency can continue to be demonstrated whenever required.
In addition, the child must remain unmarried throughout this period in order to continue qualifying as a dependent family member under the Golden Visa process.
