How do I count the seven-day minimum stay for Portugal golden visa renewals?
Do the days need to be consecutive, and do arrival and departure days count?

The Golden Visa minimum stay requirements are calculated by reference to the issuance date of the residence card that is valid at that time.
For example, if your residence card was issued on 5 February, the relevant period will be calculated from that date until 5 February of the following year. The same principle applies to a subsequent two-year residence card, during which the required 14 days in Portugal must be completed within that two-year validity period.
It is therefore important to keep clear evidence of your physical presence in Portugal. This can include flight tickets, boarding passes, passport stamps and proof of accommodation, such as hotel or Airbnb bookings.
It is also advisable to include your Portuguese NIF on everyday expenses while you are in Portugal, such as restaurant, café and store receipts. This creates additional records that can help demonstrate your presence in Portugal during the relevant period.
