How Listings Work on Golden Visa Lawyers
Golden Visa Lawyers is a directory published by Blue Venture Studios Pty Ltd. Directory pages award no ranks, bands, or numbers; our best-lawyer lists are the one exception, and they score firms only on checkable records, as set out under Best Lists below. On country and programme pages, paid placements are listed first and labelled; within each group, listings are ordered by verification status, a checkable fact, and then alphabetically. The all-firms directory is alphabetical. Readers narrow listings with filters over provider type, language, fees, and credentials. Verification cannot be bought. Companies that share an owner with our publisher are listed and labelled as related businesses; they never take the verified-first position, and any paid placement they hold is labelled like any other.
Ownership And Conflicts Of Interest
Golden Visa Lawyers is published by Blue Venture Studios Pty Ltd. Blue Venture Studios and Moving To Global Pty Ltd, the company behind Movingto (movingto.com) and Zoark (zoark.com), are separate companies with a common individual shareholder, Dean Fankhauser. Because of that shared ownership, these businesses are held to equal treatment, not special treatment: they appear in the listings with a Related business label, they match filters on the same checkable facts as every other firm, and they never take the verified-first position — verification on this site is performed by our own team. They can hold a paid placement (an Advanced profile or a Featured Partner slot), which sorts and is labelled like any other. Any promotional placement beyond the listings is separately and clearly labelled. GVL Match applies the same published eligibility and suitability rules to related and unrelated firms; common ownership neither excludes a firm nor gives it a selection advantage.
Payment affects how listings are ordered and displayed only as described under How Ordering Works below. If you believe a placement on this site is inconsistent with this policy, use the contact details in the footer and we will review it.
How GVL Match Works
GVL Match uses published directory data to find firms with an Advanced profile that serve the selected country and programme. It shows up to three suitable firms, including one or two when that is all the directory supports. Language, consultation preference and response expectation influence suitability; equivalent firms use a session-based tie-break. Sponsorship and shared ownership are not inputs.
Every destination stays inside the same questionnaire. When a shortlist is available, the visitor chooses each firm that may receive their details; no firm is preselected, including a related firm such as Movingto or Zoark. When no suitable firm with an Advanced profile is available, the enquiry remains with GVL for concierge review.
What Profiles Show
Instead of an editorial score, each profile carries the facts a reader can check for themselves:
- Regulator, bar, or professional-register evidence where applicable
- Provider type: regulated law firm, immigration firm, advisory service, or consultancy
- Public client-review signals, with sources linked
- Programme coverage, languages, and published fee bands
- Named lawyers with bar numbers where the firm publishes them
How Ordering Works
Paid placement affects order. A country page lists its Featured Partner first; this is a sponsored placement and is labelled as one. Firms with a paid Advanced profile come next, then basic listings. Within each group, listings are ordered by verification status and then the alphabet. The all-firms directory is alphabetical. Verification and credential checks are never sold. Companies that share an owner with our publisher never take the verified-first position; any paid placement they hold sorts and is labelled like any other. Best Lists
Our best golden visa lawyers in Portugal and best golden visa lawyers in Greece lists score every firm we list for that programme out of 100, using only records shown on the firm's profile. The score does not measure case outcomes, client satisfaction or price, and no firm can buy points.
- Bar-number check (20 points). At least one published lawyer at the firm has a recorded bar number with a dated GVL review, in any jurisdiction.
- Credential check in this country (20 points). A named practitioner was matched to an official register for this country, and the check has not expired (checks expire after 12 months).
- Firm registration checked (15 points). GVL has checked the firm's company or professional registration.
- Full firm credentials check (10 points). The firm passed GVL's full firm credentials check. Related businesses never earn these points.
- Law firm (10 points). The provider is listed as a law firm, rather than an immigration firm, advisory service or consultancy.
- Named lawyers on GVL (10 points). 2 points for each published lawyer profile at the firm, up to 10.
- Years operating (5 points). 1 point for every 3 full years since the founding year the firm publishes, up to 5.
- Published fee information (5 points). The firm publishes a consultation fee band or an engagement fee range.
- Documented sources (5 points). 1 point for each published source behind the profile, up to 5.
Ordering follows How Ordering Works above: a labelled related-business card, then firms with a paid Advanced profile in a labelled, unnumbered section, then the numbered ranking by score. Equal scores are listed alphabetically. The data is refreshed each time the site is published, and each list shows the date of its data.
Claiming, Advanced Profiles And Sponsorship
Claiming a profile, correcting facts and submitting evidence are free. The Advanced profile is a €99 monthly or €890 yearly profile and analytics product for approved owners of claimed firms. Its enhanced text and media remain subject to review and are labelled as firm-supplied where they appear. Ending the Advanced profile hides those enhanced modules without removing the core profile.
Sponsorship is separately quoted and labelled wherever it appears. Neither the Advanced profile nor sponsorship changes verification, credential decisions or filters. See the Advanced profile terms and commercial products page.
Review Cadence
Directory pages are reviewed at least quarterly. High-risk legal or programme-rule claims may be reviewed sooner when laws, regulator records, or programme terms change.
Corrections
Firms can request corrections when listing data is outdated or inaccurate. Corrections should come with evidence, such as regulator records, published credentials, or client-review sources, and are applied to the profile, not to any ordering.
Research Methods
Our research follows the same rules as the directory: every figure shows its denominator and its date, nothing is estimated, and no group under five is published. Datasets are free to reuse under CC BY 4.0 with a link back.
Golden Visa Programme Index
Each cell restates a fact from the GVL guide for that programme, sourced to the official programme or legal text, with the date the sources were checked. Missing values stay blank; we do not estimate them. The index is reviewed every quarter and when a programme changes.
Golden Visa Lawyer Fee Index
Uses only fees a firm publishes on its own website (linked, with the date we saw it) or sends us. Nothing is published until five independent law firms have approved data points; related businesses and providers that are not law firms do not count towards that threshold. A median appears only for groups of five or more. Currencies are never converted or combined.
Portugal Golden Visa Processing Time Tracker
Combines anonymised, aggregated Movingto case data, supplied one row per stage and month of application with at least five cases, and individual reports from lawyers and applicants, published only as stage totals of five or more. We show the number of cases, the median and the middle half of waits in days, never a single case, name or exact date.

Verification
Verification means Golden Visa Lawyers has reviewed the stated firm or office and the credential evidence shown on the profile. It is not legal advice, a guarantee of outcome or a substitute for confirming the individual practitioner directly with the relevant regulator. It cannot be bought.
What we check
Firm and office identity
We check that the firm name, website, contact domain and stated office evidence are consistent.
Named credential evidence
A jurisdiction credential check requires a named practitioner and a match in a published official register. We record the regulator, source, check date and identifier when the register provides one.
Jurisdiction scope
A credential check applies only to the firm and country shown. It does not automatically cover another office, country or member of the team.
Review date
Jurisdiction credential evidence expires after 12 months. It can also be removed earlier if the source, practitioner status or firm information changes.
What verification does not mean
Verification does not mean the firm is right for every applicant, that fees are fixed, that a visa will be approved or that every professional shown on a firm profile has been independently checked. Team members without a current official credential check are labelled as firm-published professionals.
When verification changes
A verification signal may be removed or downgraded when official evidence cannot be confirmed, a firm changes ownership or domain, a check expires or a credible correction shows that the profile needs review.
