How do I check that a Portuguese investment fund really qualifies for the golden visa?
What documents should I ask the fund manager for before I subscribe, and who confirms the fund's eligibility?

There are three main requirements that an investment fund needs to meet to be eligible for the Portuguese Golden Visa.
First, at least 60% of the fund’s investment activity must be directed towards the Portuguese economy.
Second, the fund cannot be oriented towards real estate investments, either directly or indirectly.
Third, the fund’s maturity must be compatible with the duration of the Golden Visa process, as the qualifying investment needs to remain active throughout the required period.
It is also important to confirm that the fund is properly registered with and supervised by the CMVM, the Portuguese authority responsible for regulating and supervising investment activity in Portugal.
